Dear Art One Community and Supporters,
After 32 incredible years of celebrating Arizona’s emerging and student artists, it is with heavy hearts that we announce Art One Gallery will be closing its doors.
This decision did not come easily. We have explored every possible option, but as a business that has always operated month-to-month, the financial challenges have simply become too great to overcome.
As many of you know, Kraig, our founder and the heart of the gallery, has been navigating ongoing health challenges in recent years. Despite this, he remained fully committed to keeping Art One alive, making significant personal sacrifices to support the gallery and the community it serves. Unfortunately, those resources have now been exhausted, and the financial demands of keeping the doors open are no longer sustainable.
Kraig will be moving to Utah at the end of July to be closer to his family.
While we are saddened by this decision, we can't thank you enough for your support! Because of you, we've had the privilege of giving hundreds of aspiring artists a starting place for their careers and helping thousands of beautiful pieces find their perfect homes. Thank you for all the hugs, the wonderful memories, and for truly believing in the work we do. And, of course, thank you for letting us fill your homes and offices with incredible artwork – it has meant the world to us!
To celebrate the community who has supported us over the years, we’ll be hosting a closing sale with 20% off all artwork from July 7th through August 30th, which will be our final day of operations. We hope you’ll come by, share a goodbye, and perhaps take home a piece of the magic we created together.
While this is the end of Art One Gallery, we are hopeful that our nonprofit, the Art One Foundation, will remain active. Our goal is to continue supporting student artists in high school and college as they navigate the evolving landscape of the art world. In the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more information about the foundation, how you can continue to support the artists you love, and plans for a farewell celebration.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Thank you for showing up, believing in our artists, and helping us create something truly special here in Old Town. We are endlessly proud of what we’ve accomplished together!
With love and gratitude,
Art One Gallery
